He is survived by: his children, Rachael, Travis Koopmans, Steven Mumaw and Huong Nguyen; his grandchildren, Lilly Mumaw, Jacob Koopmans, Kendra Mumaw, Paige Koopmans and Kayven Mumaw; his sister Ellen (Phillip Gaca); his nephew Tony (Lauren Gaca); and his great-niece Gillian Gaca.
