He was predeceased by : his wife Carolyn Arp; his parents, Robert Arp and Marie Arp; his stepson Shawn McComb; his uncle Don; and his aunt Juanita.

He is survived by : his children, Scott Arp (Jody) and Brenda Ruder (Bill); his grandchildren, Brianna, Phoenix, Bishop, Isaac and Shawn McComb Jr.; his great grandchild Lucas; and his cousin Mary Hollander (Hank).

Visitation was held on Friday, May 3rd 2024 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Reyers North Valley Chapel (2815 Fuller Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49505). The military honors was held on Friday, May 3rd 2024 at 1:30 PM at the Holy Cross Cemetery (2000 Walker Ave NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49504).

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Shriners Children's Hospital.
