He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry McElroy and Vivian McElroy (Rehnstrom); his brother Jack; and his wife Jan. He is survived by: his sister Karen Jacobson; and his children, Ross McElroy (Carolyn), Mark McElroy (Yenny), Rebecca Wansten (Daniel), Melinda Birk (Roger) and Claudia Correa. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
