He was predeceased by: his wife Marilyn; his parents, Dewey Sr. Pattenson and Lorna Pattenson; and his siblings, Charlotte and John.
He is survived by: his children, Lora DeJonge (Rick), Julia De Vos (Wayne) and Tom Heetderks (Gwen); his grandchildren, Michael DeJonge, Nathan DeJonge (Erika), Lauren Iannuzzelli (Ryan), Paul De Vos, Marcus De Vos (Karlee), Luke De Vos, David Heetderks, Ryan Heetderks (Liv) and Erica Hammond (Wes); and his great grandchildren, Zoe, Carter, Rylee, Conor, Roman, Naomi and Annie.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Shawnee Park (2255 Tecumseh Dr SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49506). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Shawnee Park Christian Reformed Church (2255 Tecumseh Dr SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49506).
