He was predeceased by: his wife Coby; his grandson Benjamin Prins; his siblings, Piet Huisman, Bart Huisman, Jan Hendrick Huisman, Dina Oomkes and Jantje Bos; and his sister-in-law Sietska Hut.
He is survived by: his children, Sue Prins (Kevin), Ingrid Huisman, Annette Bos (Ed), Jack Huisman (Cheri), Linda Blocker (Jim) and Leo Huisman (Jenn); his brothers, Harry Huisman (Eitje) and Kor Huisman (Sieka); and his sisters-in-law, Fran Huisman and Jantje Veenstra. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Cutlerville East Christian Reformed Church (501 68th St SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49548). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
