He was predeceased by: his mother Gertrude Koetsier (Flik); and his brother Robert (Patricia). He is survived by: his family Don; his father Harry Koetsier; his wife Carol (Boersma); his son Donald Koetsier; his grandchildren, Jessica (Julian) and Jackie; and his sisters, Jeanne Daverman (Jerry), Sharon Jenkins (Earl) and Shirley Koetsier. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
