Doris Jean (Young) Abraham Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Doris Jean (Young) Abraham of Grand Rapids, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 13, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Jim; her daughter Peggy; her son-in-law Steve Penland; her sister Ellen Snyder; her parents, Bernard Young and Jennie Young; and her son-in-law Tiny Young.
She is survived by: her children, Jean Abraham, Jim Abraham (Deb), Mike Abraham (Beth) and Brian Abraham (Autumn); her grandchildren, Steve Penland (Linsey), Raven Hull (Hunter), Jennifer Frost (Jack), Blake Abraham (Ana), Christina Abraham, Kellie Vaughn (Jake), Jessica Moog (Josh), Allyson Abraham and Madelyn Abraham; her great grandchildren, Luke and Rory; and her siblings, Ben Young (Linda), Linda Tittle (Mitch), Gary Young and Larry Young (Dawn). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 20th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Stroo Funeral Home (1095 68th St SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49508). A rosary will be held on Thursday, May 21st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM and at 7:30 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, May 21st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Family Catholic Church (9669 Kraft Ave SE, Caledonia, MI 49316).
Contributions in memory of Doris may be given to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
