It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Simmons (Grand Rapids, Michigan), born in Shelby, Michigan, who passed away on August 9, 2023, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Richard "Dick" Simmons; her son Douglas; her son-in-law Charles TerBeek; her siblings, Wayne (Janice), Kenneth Sanford (Mary Jane), Dorothy Krager (Herman) and Betty Cheever; and her sisters-in-law, Marjorie Simmons and Dorothy Dresser (Richard).
She is survived by: her children, Sharon TerBeek and Gary Simmons; her grandchildren, Calleen TerBeek (Curtis Hajdu), Corinne Bossardet (Christopher) and Emmett TerBeek (Jodi); her great grandchildren, Carter, Dylan, Adelaide, Olivia, Nora, Clayton and Elijah; and her brother-in-law Lyle Cheever. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
