He is survived by: his wife Bonnie; his children, William DeRooy (Sarah), Daniel DeRooy (Diane) and Carissa Scarpa (Jeremy); the mother of his children Cynthia Braunius (Mark); his stepchildren, Amanda Reisbig, Tara Falcone (Jonathan) and Jacob Humphrey; his siblings, Dirk DeRooy (Beverly) and Sylvia Boomsma; and his siblings-in-law, Wendy Smith (Matt) and Joshua Snyder. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
Memorial contributions in memory of Dwight may be made to the American Red Cross.
