He was predeceased by: his parents, Neva Pauline Saur and Edward James Casey, Sr.; his wife Mary Elizabeth Snyder (Betts); his sister Patricia Casey; and his brothers-in-law, Charles Patterson and George Snyder.

He is survived by: his children, Liz Casey Bode (Bill), Jim Casey III (Sue) and Cindy Casey Myers (Kurt); his grandchildren, Chris Bode (Ashley), Katy Salter (John), Greg Bode (Samantha), Jamey Casey IV (Abby), Matthew Myers (Hailey) and Sarah Myers; his great grandchildren, Max, Molly Bode, Grayson, Adelyn Salter, Blake, Dylan Bode, Calvin Myers and Elliott Casey; his sibling's children, Casey Patterson (Julie), Kathy Marks (Tom), Jean Hawley (Bruce), Sara Snyder (Laura Kelleher) and Beth Dierkes (Chuck); and his sister-in-law Claudia Snyder.
