He was predeceased by: his wife Carol D. Runyan (Nelson); and his children, Amanda and Steve. He is survived by: his daughter Marie Morris (Jody); his grandchildren, Miranda, Michael and Mason; and his brother-in-law Frank Nelson (Nancy). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Arsulowicz Brothers Mortuaries, Inc. (3525 Remembrance Rd NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49534). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society or The National Kidney Foundation.
