He was predeceased by: his wife Gladys (Meiste); his son Cory Van Bruggen; his parents, Cornelius Bruggen and Agnes Van Bruggen; and his siblings, James Van Bruggen, Laura Lameyer (Jerry) and Ilene Van Bruggen.
He is survived by: his daughter Pamela Rozema (Dan); his daughter-in-law Jan Van Bruggen; his grandchildren, Christopher Rozema (Alisha), Allison LaBouef (Jerry), Heather McDill (Tony), Andrew and Mark Van Bruggen; his great grandchildren, Isabelle, Leo, Landon LaBouef, Roman and Emery McDill; his sister Karen Baker (Arnold); and his sister-in-law Nola Van Bruggen. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
