He is survived by: his children, Ernest Jr., Linda Patterson, Pam, Chad Dusendang, Laura and Paul Slade; his grandchildren, Aaron, Tiffany Patterson, Lindsey May, Bryce Patterson, Stephenie Graf, Nicholas, Ayesha Huttema, Heather, Jon Riley, Joni, Joe Benjamin, Travis Dusendang, Chelsea Robinson, Zachary, Elise Slade, Trevor and Hannah Slade; and his close friend Rachel. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter.
