She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. John DeJong and Marguerite DeJong; and her husband Harry Lanting. She is survived by: her siblings, Don (Arlene) and Marian DeVries (Simon); her former spouse Bernie Klaver; her children, Sandy Donnen, Ellen LeClaire (Randy), Ron Klaver (Hali) and Randy Klaver (Ligia); her brother Dave (Faye); her sisters-in-law, Linda (late John) and Arlene (late Don); and her grandchildren, Chelsea Remtema (Zack), Connor LeClaire (Anna), Randall Klaver and Brielle Klaver. She is also survived by her children and grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Zaagman Memorial Chapel (2800 Burton St SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
