He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Albert John and Agnes Schmid; his wife Barbara; his children, Hilary Schmid-Veazey (Josh), John Schmid and Andrew Schmid (Kristin); the mother of his children Kathy Coffey; his grandchildren, Vance, Agnes, Leonard Veazey, Eloise and Marlow Schmid; and his siblings, Kurt Schmid (Pamela), Mary Bathey, Claire Kelly and Anne Muir.
