He is survived by: his wife Karen; his children, Renee Spencer (Sherry), Andy (Missy), Nick (Amanda) and Dan Garbowitz (Tiffany); his grandchildren, Brynn, Aiden, Marin, Maxwell, Natalie, Preston, Colton, Bryce and Aria; his sisters, Sondra Rosewater and Arlene Rosen (Elliot); and his siblings-in-law, Pat Sanders and Tom Burkman (Merrybeth). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Pederson Funeral Home (127 N Monroe St, Rockford, MI 49341). A celebration of life was held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 3:30 PM at the same location.
