Gerald L. Blaszak Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gerald L. Blaszak of Grand Rapids, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 7, 2025 at the age of 80. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Gerald L. Blaszak to pay them a last tribute.
Though Gerald may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Gerald touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene and Helen (Grodus). He is survived by: his siblings, Donna Szczepanski (Richard) and Robert Blaszak (Sharon); his siblings' children, Robert Blaszak (Jackie), Mark Szczepanski (Michelle), Shelley Deemter (Donn) and Katherine Szoka; and his close friend Michelle Downer.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Anthony of Padua Church (2510 Richmond St NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49504). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, September 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial donations can be made to St. Ann's or Emmanuel Hospice.
