Gerald DeVries Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gerald DeVries (Grand Rapids, Michigan), who passed away on May 30, 2025 at the age of 85. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Gerald DeVries to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert DeVries and Wilma DeVries; his siblings, Glen, John, Robert, Lloyd and Jean Wark; and his siblings-in-law, Dave Wark, Gary Rysdam, Ron Rysdam, Gail, Phyllis, Mary and Eileen.
He is survived by: his wife Eileen; his sons, Philip (Kristen), Alan (Karen) and Steve (Dawn); his grandchildren, Jodie Diemer (Connor), Thomas (Gabby), Benjamin, Jeffrey, Staysha, Seth, Miriam, Brin and Ryan; his great grandchildren, Jenna and Charlie; his brothers, Marvin (Sharon), Clarence, Larry and Dale; and his sisters-in-law, Alice DeVries, Fran DeVries and Trudy Rysdam. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Calvin University Chapel (1835 Knollcrest Circle Southeast, Grand Rapids, MI 49508). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
