He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Miedema and Edith Miedema; his in-laws, Abie and Mina Steensma; and his sister-in-law Lori Suh.
He is survived by: his wife Sandy; his children, Eric Miedema (Betsy), Adam Miedema (Erica) and Hillary Cash (Jason); his grandchildren, Evan, Alaina, Karsten, Maximus, Mackenzie and Brinley; his siblings, John Miedema (Kathy), Sue Herder (Mike) and Mark Miedema (Karen); and his siblings-in-law, Pat Tamminga, Jane Leonardo (Jim) and Doug Steensma (Shelly). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 13th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Heritage Life Story Funeral Homes (2120 Lake Michigan Dr NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49504). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Remembrance Church (4575 Remembrance Rd NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49534).
