He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert Smith and Helen Smith (Bradley); his wife Nancy Smith; and his siblings, Elaine Oehrli and Doug Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Chris Smith, Jennifer Barlow (Randy) and Robert Smith (Amber); and his grandchildren, Elijah Barlow, Gabriel Barlow, Hailey Smith, Nick Smith and Nevaeh Smith.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Shelby Congregational United Church of Christ (51 E 3rd St, Shelby, MI 49455).
