Gordon Terpstra Obituary
With sadness, we share the passing of Gordon Terpstra (Grand Rapids, Michigan). Gordon, born on July 14, 1933, passed away on September 10, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Terpstra and Frances Terpstra; his wife Eileen Terpstra (Engelsma); his son-in-law Thomas Schipper; his grandson Andrew Schipper; his stepmother Bertha Terpstra; and his brother-in-law Bud Kloosterhouse.
He is survived by: his children, Suzanne Looyenga, Luanne Schipper, Charles (Verna Terpstra), Todd (Valerie Terpstra) and Jeffrey (Kathy Terpstra); and his siblings, Nancy Kloosterhouse, Mary Machiela (Alvin) and Larry (Judy). He is also survived by 27 grandchildren; 64 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the Hope Protestant Reformed Church (1580 Ferndale Ave SW, Grand Rapids, MI 49534).
