With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Harold Lee Pothoven in Grand Rapids, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 4, 2024 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Pothoven and Henrietta Pothoven (Walkotten); and his brother Donald Pothoven. He is survived by: his brother Kenn Haven; his wife Norma; his daughters, Jo Ann Schappaugh (David) of Bloomington, Mary Greene (Rick) of Charleston, WV, Lois Hendricks (Jim) of The Villages, FL and Jane Pasma (Kevin) of Jenison, MI; his stepson Larry Nichols of Pekin, IL; his grandchildren, Ben Schappaugh (Rebecca), Sarah Hughes (Eric), Matt Greene (Krista), Andrea Greene, Katy Hendricks, Aaron Hendricks (Sarah), Nate Pasma (Caitlin), Amanda Lane (Virgil), Heidi Mishler (Mike) and Jennifer Diemer (Jeff); Day Starter of God's Word. He is also survived by 24 great-grandchildren; several nephews, nieces and cousins.
