With solemn reverence, we commemorate Henrietta Pauline Hamersma (Grand Rapids, Michigan), born in Bigelow, Minnesota, whose life came to an end on September 14, 2025 at the age of 93, leaving behind cherished memories. She was predeceased by: her parents, Matthew Wolterstorff and Agnes Wolterstorff; her stepmother Jenny Wolterstorff; her husband William Frederick Hamersma; and her siblings, Joanne Yonker, Cornelius Wolterstorff and Ivan Wolterstorff.
She is survived by: her brother Nicholas Wolterstorff (Claire); her sons, Keith (Ellen), Mark, Brian (Nancy) and Kurt (Marie); and her grandchildren, Keenan (Michelle), Tyler (Liz), Cody (Noel), Zachary (Olivia), Jillian, Holli, Ashley and Laurel. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM. A memorial service was held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Church of the Servant (3835 Burton St SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546).
