With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Henry Houkes (Grand Rapids, Michigan), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Henry left this world on October 14, 2025 at the age of 93, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Luitzen Houkes and Geertje Houkes. He is survived by: his wife Carol; his siblings, Wiebe Houkes (Janna), Wietske Middlebos (Wietse), Annie Pranger (Geert), Roelof Houkes (Annie), Thom Houkes (Grietje), Marie Hofma (Jitse), Ge' Schoon (Piet), Jan Houkes (Jantje) and Jitske van (Tuenes) of Veld; his daughters, Heidi Huizinga (Kenneth) and Suzette Foll (Robert); his grandchildren, Jacob, Luke Foll, Kenneth Jr., Isaac, Lia and Zoe Huizinga; his great grandchild Zayn McCune; and his sister Sietske Sinkgraven. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and at 12:00 PM at the Berean Baptist Church (1574 Coit Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49505).
