He was predeceased by: his wife Arlynne; his son-in-law Glenn Heys; and his grandson Kevin Heys. He is survived by: his children, Randy (Mary Ellen Ritsema), Gwen Heys, Mike (Jane Ritsema), Curt (Darlene Ritsema), Ed (Kristin Ritsema) and Cheryl (Tom Van De Griend); his grandchildren, Megan, Aaron Pluger, Kelley, Isaac Grotenhuis, Emily Ritsema, Molly, Aaron Kostrzewa, Joelle, Zac Curtis (Ocie), Brett Ritsema, Rebecca Jordan Heys, Callie Ritsema, Rachel, Brian Dokter, Marcus, Jenna Ritsema, Jordan, Jodi Ritsema, Kalee, Nate Beecher, Zack Hampel, Matthew Ritsema, Ashley, Kyle Peterson, Peyton, Camilla, Jesse and Colton Van De Griend; his sister-in-law JoAnn Ritsema; and his close friend Arlene Egedy. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
