He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Ritsema and Nellie Ritsema (Diekman); his former wife Joan Ritsema; his siblings, Albert Ritsema, Robert Ritsema, Roger Ritsema, Jane Cooke and Sue VandenBosch; his siblings-in-law, Wilma Ritsema, Cheryl Ritsema, Cliff Cooke and Bob VandenBosch; and his grandson Nicholas Dykstra.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Ritsema; his children, Sheryl Kuznar (Daniel), Julie Dykstra (Steve), Sally Abt (Thomas) and William Ritsema (Pamela); his grandchildren, Rachel Titus (Nick), Ryan Kuznar (Heather), Jason Dykstra (Brianna), Jessica Visser (Eric), Jennifer Bart (Ronald), Natalie Lau (Andrew), Kyle Ritsema (Taylor), Kevin Ritsema, Nathan Ritsema (Marissa) and Kaylee Ritsema; and his brothers, James Ritsema (Jean) and William Ritsema (Verna). He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren; Janice's children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
