We announce the death of Ivan Lopez of Grand Rapids, Michigan, who passed away on October 5, 2026, at the age of 51. He is survived by: his wife Zaida Arreaga Lopez; his children, Ivan Lopez, Alex Lopez and Brenda Lopez; his parents, Cristobal Lopez and Maria Hernandez; his parents-in-law, Jose Patrocinio Arrega and Gabina Roblero; his siblings, Geovanny Lopez, Aida Antonieta, Edilberta Lopez, Flor of Maria Lopez and Byron Lopez; and his siblings-in-law, Rosalba Lopez, Berny Lopez, Miriam Lopez, Mario Lopez and Antonio Arreaga. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:30 PM and on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (4646 Kalamazoo Ave SE, Kentwood, MI 49508). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the MKD Funeral Home (4646 Kalamazoo Ave SE, Kentwood, MI 49508).
