With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jack Young Jr. of Grand Rapids, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 6, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob John "Jack" Young Sr. and Eva Ida Campeau; his wife Marjorie Ann Postema; and his siblings, Richard, Ilene and Patricia.
He is survived by: his children, Kevin Young (Cynthia Hoppe), Christine Burgess (Dave), Cheryl Winkler (Paul) and Nancy Gillette (Mike); his grandchildren, Megan Young, Bryce Young, Lisa Burgess, Jill King (Alex), Kelly Nelson (Alex), Erin Carroll (Dylan), Joel Burgess, Ryan Black, Ryan Gillette (Megan) and Rachael Cushman (Cory); his great grandchildren, Isaiah, Elliana, Brayden King, Samantha Nelson, Esmay Gillette and Kinley Cushman; his sister Charlene Elderkin; and his siblings-in-law, Carmen Young, Eileen DeMann and Robert Postema.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Sebastian Catholic Church (9408 Wilson Ave SW, Byron Center, MI 49315).
