He was predeceased by: his parents, Darwin Barcus and Odessa Weiser. He is survived by: his friends, John and Gary; his daughters, Amy Barcus, Melissa Michelson (Nick) and Amanda Steinbauer (Dennis); his grandchildren, Olive and Emett Floyd; his sister Terry Lange; his half-sisters, Sue Tarrant (Dave) and Chris Ellis (Jack); his stepsisters, Linda Letz (Jim) and Rita Burcham (Gary); and his stepmother Betty Weber. He is also survived by other loving family members and friends.
In honor of James's legacy, memorial contributions may be made to Friends of Valley Spur Cross Country Ski Trail or Michigan Veteran Homes at Grand Rapids.
