He was predeceased by: his siblings, Sieb (Reca DeHaan), Tress (Marv VanderJagt), Ann (Tite Agema), Tom (Betty DeHaan), Sally (George VanDriel), Florence (John Eylander), Evie (Kerwin Boven) and Edith (Gerald Lucas); his parents, Tom Boven and Grace Boven; and his siblings, Millie (Sid Visser), Tony (Gert Boven), Dee (Gert Boven), Vern (Angie VandePol) and Marilyn (Sid Ouwinga).
He is survived by: his wife Ilene Boven; his children, Dawn, Pete Spiering (Grand Rapids), Jodi and Marc Kindle of Crossville, TN; his son-in-law Will Erben (Ann Arbor); and his grandchildren, Dana, Chris Bernardi, Lindsey, Todd Dalga, Ayla Wolfram, Reba Kindle, Sean Denning, Tyler, Jenna Spiering, Kyla Kindle, Leah Erben and Hannah Erben. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
