He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Gorski and Jane Gorski; and his sister Ruth Deiss. He is survived by: his wife Carol S. Gorski (Baranowski); his children, Geneese Sutphen (Ed) and Gary Gorski (Lynn); his grandchildren, Melissa Bibby (Kyle), Brian Gorski (Zoe), Rachel Battista (Travis) and Jeff Gorski (Maggie); his great grandchildren, Emma, Nora, Kayden, Blake, Rylan, Lorraine, Declan, Alina and Brady; and his sisters-in-law, Christine DeYoung and Claudette Tuma. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Anthony of Padua Church (2510 Richmond St NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49504). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jim's memory may be made to Edison Christian Life Services.
