James Lee leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. James Lee’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew James Lee will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Kay; his sons, Jim Westerhuis (Johanna) and John Westerhuis (Ann Marie); his grandchildren, Henry Westerhuis (Jennifer), KayLee Westerhuis (Kolin Morgan) and Grace Westerhuis; and his great grandchild Hollis Westerhuis. He is also survived by his brother, sons, grandson, nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the O'Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Funeral Home (3980 Cascade Rd SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546). A celebration of life was held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
