James M. Spaak Obituary

We are sad to announce that on July 29, 2025, James M. Spaak of Grand Rapids, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his daughter Karla Huitsing Sprague (Edward G. Huitsing); his granddaughter Allison Nicole Jarratt; and his daughter-in-law Kimberley Spaak (Smith). He is survived by: his wife Alene; his children, Kimberly Wheeler (Phil), James A. Spaak (Rebecca) and Mark Spaak (Somer); his son-in-law Billy Sprague; his grandchildren, Austin Lewis (Courtney), Lindsey Murphy (Daniel), Lacey Angell (Tyler), Joshua Jarratt, Savannah Dean (Ty), Aden, Grace, Caitlin, Mariah, Hailey, Jenna, Matthew and Tobias Spaak; his stepgrandchildren, Grace, Chase and Chloe McPeek; and his brother Butch Spaak. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
