James Westrick Obituary
We announce the death of James Westrick of Grand Rapids, Michigan, who passed away on October 11, 2026, at the age of 64. James will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Mary Ann Fasburg; his grandmother Evelyn Florom; and his uncle Louie Kiogima. He is survived by: his wife Nina May Westrick; his sons, John Chandler (Georgina) and James Louis Westrick (Terra); his grandchildren, Cameron, Jayden, Ellexis, Allyssa, Neveah, Natalia, Isabelle, Emmanuel and Xavier; his great grandchildren, Octavius and Olive; his siblings, Charles Westrick (Penny) and Terry Cappadony (John); his aunt Janice Kiogima; and his brothers-in-law, Tony Watkins and Ricki Watkins. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the East Mortuary (937 Michigan St NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
