She is survived by: her husband Louis VanderWal; her children, Karlee Shepard (Greg) and Matthew VanderWal (Shelby); her siblings, Sharon Winkle (Don), Tom Werkema (Kathy) and Gary Werkema (Lori); and her in-laws, Pat Nobel (George), Ruth VanderWal, Lois Wise (Mike) and Ruth Laman.
