She was predeceased by : her husband James Buist; her parents, John Veen and Jean Vander Veen; her sister-in-law Faye Vander Veen; and her niece Katie Vander Veen.

She is survived by : her children, Amie, Jonathan Kriewall, Rob Buist, Mike Buist and Beckie Buist; her brothers, Dave Vander Veen and Bob Vander Veen; her sister-in-law Bev Vander Veen; her nephews, Jeff and Dustin Bacon; and her niece Kate Vander Veen.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial contribution in Jean's name to Georgetown Harmony House (7253 Sagerose Dr, Hudsonville, MI 49426) where her son, Rob, is a resident.
