With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Jean Kok (Grand Rapids, Michigan), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Jean left this world on July 12, 2025 at the age of 98, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father John; her husband Herm; her sons, John, Wayne and Phillip; her grandson Pieter Kok; her brothers, Don (Martheen) and Bill (Myrna); and her brother-in-law Peter Kamstra.
She is survived by: her son James Kok (Deborah); her children-in-law, Sanneke, Mary, Lorraine, Roger Griffioen (Marguerete) and Bob Griffioen (Toni); her sister-in-law Eleanor Kamstra; and her grandchildren, Vanessa Bartels (Eric), Jennifer VanLeeuwen (Robert), Andre Kok (Jessica), Sarah Hanley, Emily Kok, Abigail Kok (Zack Matthews), Joshua Kok (Jen Vogel), Jonathan (Becky Ringlewski), Amanda Rossell (Aaron), Matthew Kok, Megan Kruis (Noah), Joseph Kok, Bethany Seiler (Cam), Mitchell Smith-Kok (Lisa), Tara Duimstra (Dave), Natalie Gill (Michael), Trevor Kok (Emerald), Angela Stonehouse (Turner), Vincent Kok (Hannah), Micah Reynolds (Sam) and Mikayla Brink (Danny). She is also survived by many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Heritage Life Story Funeral Homes (2120 Lake Michigan Dr NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49504). A funeral service was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
