He was predeceased by: his mother Bobbi VanHattum (Bobbi); and his nephew David. He is survived by: his father Tom VanHattum; his wife Mary; his children, Andrew and Alexa (Daniel); and his siblings, Sue, David and John. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in his memory to Emmanuel Hospice and the Kentwood Public Schools Educational Foundation.
