He was predeceased by: his parents, John Rumery and Theresa Rumery; and his siblings, Roger Rumery, Kenneth Rumery (Donna Jean), Eileen Rumery, Mary Lou Mayer (Robert), Jeanette Mayeda (Roy), Edna Hishinuma (Fred) and Robert Rumery (Theda).
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn; his children, Kris Brown (Bob), Glenn Rumery (Shelley Binkley) and David Rumery (Barbie); his granddaughter Lucy Rumery; and his sisters-in-law, Theda Rumery, Wilma Cogswell and Helen Nagelkirk.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Andrew's Episcopal Church (1025 3 Mile Rd NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49505). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to North End Community Ministry, Grand Rapids, MI (necmgr.org) or Sunset Legacy Foundation in Jenison, MI.
