With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan Elaine Hawkins (Grand Rapids, Michigan), who passed away on November 29, 2022 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, William Sottile and Elaine Sottile; and her siblings, William Sottile II and Cynthia Sottile Wepsala. She is survived by: her stepbrother William Smoak; her niece Caroline Davis; her nephew Richard Sottile; her sister-in-law Margaret Sottile; her great-niece Annabelle; and her great-nephews, Owen, James and Aiden.

She was a proud Ambassador for the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation supporting those families impacted by pulmonary fibrosis.
