It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joan Nanninga of Grand Rapids, Michigan, who passed away on October 9, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her son-in-law Mike Ruiter; her brother Don Postma; and her siblings-in-law, Barbara Postma, Gerard Huissen and Jack Kosten.
She is survived by: her friend Jo; her husband Ray; her children, Jan Van Ee (Oscar), Betsy Ruiter (David Huyser), Carol Brondsema (Phil), Todd Nanninga (Mary Jo), Amy Slachter (Phil) and Mark Nanninga (Christina); her siblings, Harold Postma and June Huissen; and her sisters-in-law, Arlaine Postma and Lois Kosten. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Emmanuel Hospice or West Side Christian School Foundation.
