It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Marie (Arsulowicz) Wawee of Grand Rapids, Michigan, who passed away on May 13, 2026, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Michael Wawee Sr.; her son-in-law Steve Becker; her parents, Stanley Arsulowicz and Maxine Arsulowicz Sr.; her siblings, Nancy Smith and Dave Arsulowicz; her close friend Carl Del Raso; and her siblings-in-law, Jack Wawee, Rodney Kosters, MaryAnn Maloley and Shirley Wawee.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Wawee Jr. (Mistie), Todd Wawee (Kristy), Tara Wawee Brown, Jennifer Becker (Scott) and Christopher Wawee (Ally); her grandchildren, Kacie, Jamison, Nickolas (Maritza), Noah (Raelyn) of Andrew, Elizabeth "Ellie", Lauren, Morgan, Hannah, Sophia, Lucas, Emma, Olivia, Christopher Jr. and Sloane; her great grandchildren, Joy Marie and Malaya; and her siblings, Judy Dzierwa (John), Stanley Arsulowicz Jr. (Janna), Karen Kosters, James Arsulowicz (Theresa), Stephen Arsulowicz (Ann) and Jeff Arsulowicz (Becky). She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, relatives, and lifelong friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lemmen Holton Cancer Pavilion or Covenant Living Great Lakes.
