John Charles Colwill Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Charles Colwill of Grand Rapids, Michigan, born in Windsor, Ontario, who passed away on June 16, 2025 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles W. Colwill and Ann Mae Colwill (Mason); his brother-in-law Laurence Beischer; and his nephews, Brian and Russell Beischer.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy Colwill; his children, Leasa Colwill Hotchkiss and Jeffrey J. Colwill (Andrea); his grandchildren, Grayam Hotchkiss (Charlotte), Jackson Hotchkiss, Charles Colwill, Jacqueline Colwill and Abigail Colwill; his sister-in-law Barbara Beischer; and his nephew Gregory Beischer (Johanne). He is also survived by his children; five treasured grandchildren; numerous extended family members and many lifelong friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the O' Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Funeral Home (3980 Cascade Rd SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546).
