He was predeceased by : his parents, Ernest Leese and Phyllis Leese. He is survived by : his wife Marilyn; his children, John M. Leese (Mary) and Kristin Linkfield (Kent); his grandchildren, Jonathon Leese (Leslie), Austin Linkfield (Allison), Aubrey Vazquez (Michael), Conor Linkfield (MacKenzie) and Jordan Leese; his great grandchild Dakota Linkfield; his siblings, Patricia Mulder and Gerald Leese; his nephews, Steven Mulder and Michael Leese; and his caregivers, Peggy and Laura of Grace In. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (2700 Fulton St E, Grand Rapids, MI 49506).
