He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hauck and Edith Easterday; his stepfather Clarence Easterday; his sisters, Sally Stevens and Judith; his brother-in-law Henry Gorkowski; and his stepsisters, Nancy Muller and Judy Dickson.

He is survived by: his wife Renee Justice; his son John Garrett Hauck; his stepson Eli Justice (Alan Kotenko); his daughters, Amber Jonas and Aubrey DeKubber; his siblings, Sue Dood (Robert) and Chris Hauck; and his pet Buddy.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to support the Friday night music at Inspiration Alcona, with a notation of "Harbor Nights Concert Series," PO Box 506, Lincoln, Michigan 48742.
