He was predeceased by : his parents, Hubert Knape and Florence Knape; and his brothers, Don, Dick, Jerry and Roger.

He is survived by : his wife Joanne; his daughters, Cheryl Crabb (Greg) and Jennifer Chiodini (Victor); his grandchildren, Kayleigh, Clara, Hadley Crabb, Bella and Emerson Chiodini; and his sister Joan Caldwell.
