It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John M. Savela of Grand Rapids, Michigan, born in Hancock, Michigan, who passed away on January 10, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Eino Savela and Martha Savela; his sister Shirley Savela; and his son-in-law Rob Woodrick. He is survived by: his wife Lillian Jean Savela; his daughters, Candy Vonk (Doug) and Vonnie Woodrick; his grandchildren, Jay Vonk (Lisa), Chase Woodrick, Whitney Rottiers (Brandon) and Maddie Woodrick; his great grandchildren, Emerson Vonk, Poppy and Sadie Rottiers; and his daughter Yvonne.
