With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John H. Matthews of Grand Rapids, Michigan, born in Highland Park, Michigan, who passed away on September 24, 2023 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Eva Matthews and William Matthews. He is survived by: his wife Sally Wink; his children, Valerie LaPointe (Jim), Leslie Fiore (Tom) and John Matthews (Diana); his grandchildren, Jennifer Thompson (Mike), Megan Ahlenius (Tim), Sarah Matthews, Lily Fiore, Eric Boekeloo (Christina), Brandon Matthews (Natalie) and Ben Fiore; and his great grandchildren, Brooks Thompson, Greta Thompson, Cedric Boekeloo and William Ahlenius.
