He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia; and his son J. D. Osmer. He is survived by: his children, Julie Soentgen, Bonnie Czuhajewski, Daniel Osmer and Kurt Osmer (Kathryn); his grandchildren, Jesse, Christopher Osmer, Aprille Holovich (Jason), Rick Soentgen, Noa Kim (Gwen), Kendra Wegner (Erich), Sarah Czuhajewski, Claire and Stephen Osmer; his great grandchildren, Casper, Colin, Brooklynn Holovich and Rhett Wegner; and his sister Mary Weber (Marshall).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in John's name to Feeding America of West Michigan or Alzheimer's Association.
