John L. Taylor Obituary

In loving memory of John L. Taylor of Grand Rapids, Michigan, who departed this world on October 12, 2025 at the age of 90. John leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Marcia Lee Taylor (Sankey); his parents, Bertrand Taylor and Frances Taylor Sr.; his daughter Joan Taylor; his grandson Parker Taylor; and his siblings, Bertrand Taylor Jr., Willard Taylor, George Taylor, Patricia Czyzyk and Shirley Boersma.

He is survived by: his children, John F. Taylor (Dawn), Patricia Hastings (Chris) and Mary Taylor; his grandchildren, Derek Taylor, Preston Taylor, Allison Hastings, Conner Taylor (Alicia) and Marissa Hastings; and his pet Rocky. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and his best buddy.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Rosedale Memorial Park (50 Lake Michigan Dr, Grand Rapids, MI 49544).

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of West Michigan.
